Netflix 4k Bitrate, 4Mbps! That's the lowest I've ever seen for a 4K show. . Has Netflix lowered 4k bitrates past couple of months to below 17Mbps or they've relaxed their 25Mbps internet requirement? I usually had to pay for 40Mbps if I wanted to watch 4k content but in the past couple of months am finding the newer 4k content appearing so crisp with 20Mbps internet. All the sandy backdrops in Dune just turn into a blocky smear on streaming. MPEG compression just cant deal with solid color backgrounds. The bitrate between streaming and a blu-ray is why I can't stream Dune. The fixed ladder has predetermined 4K bitrates — 8, 10, 12 and 16 Mbps — it deterministically maxes out at 16 Mbps.
